Moving Images – Angles Way

We are contacting people who live or work near the Angles Way, the 93 mile walk along the Waveney Valley between the Broads at Lowestoft and The Brecks at Thetford. It has been voted the best waterside walk in Britain. This is an opportunity to experience the beautiful scenery of this land of river and marsh, wildlife, woodland, arable fields, ancient market towns, historic churches and buildings along the Waveney section of the Angles Way.

You are invited to take part in an exciting film-making project about the Angles Way. We will take you, as part of a group, on a short walk along the Angles Way and, if you agree, we’ll film your reactions or just ask you to complete a short questionnaire on the day. You will also be encouraged to take your own photographs for inclusion in the project. A picnic of locally produced food will be provided. You can choose from any of the following:

Tuesday 13th August 6pm  West of Diss Area

Meet at Redgrave & Lopham Fen Visitor Centre (IP 22 2HX). The walk is about 2 miles with some uneven and muddy ground.

Thursday 15th  August 6pm Beccles

Meet at Beccles Fen Lane car Park (NR34 9BH) to walk historic Beccles streets, riverside and marshes, about 2 miles on pavements, paths and farm tracks

Wednesday 21st August 6pm Burgh Castle

Meet at layby on road to The Fisherman’s Inn (NR31 9PZ) for a walk round the riverside and Roman site, about 2 miles & some uneven and muddy ground

After the walks, we’ll produce a short film on DVD with some of your photos included and show them at an exhibition locally. The DVD and photos will then be available, free, to local businesses and community organisations to use in advertising and websites, highlighting the Angles Way as a great local attraction.

So you could be helping the local economy while enjoying a glorious walk through some of the best landscape in the East of England.  As a contributor, you will also receive a copy of the DVD and an invitation to the launch exhibition to be held at Redgrave and Lopham Fen  on Sunday 29th Sept 2- 4pm.

Bring your digital camera or mobile phone set to take photos 3MB or bigger.

To be sure of your place on the walk contact us: [email protected] or 07715 047391, otherwise just turn up and bring your friends.
