Fashion is coming to Aylsham! Not that it isn’t here already of course, but the Artichoke Collection, together with Aylsham Country Market will be giving it a hand with an exclusive Fashion Show on Friday 6th May in the Town Hall.
The Artichoke Collection, which caters for sizes 8 to 22, specialises in stylish casual clothing designed for the age 35+ woman who lives in the country. A great range of cords, jeans and casual trousers together with jackets, gilets, T shirts, knitwear and shirts are featured in the Collection, alongside a complementary range of carefully chosen and reasonably priced accessories, designed to bring a little bit of glamour. And if you do have a special occasion, there is the odd posh frock or two.
Clothes will be on view using the traditional fashion show catwalk (with local models), while a pop-up shop will allow guests to browse and choose or order their favourite designs.
Grizelda Tyler, Chair of the Aylsham Country Market cooperative say the Fashion Show will fit perfectly with the Market’s activities. “Many people think we are only about food,” she says, “but our craft and gifts section has a great range of fashion accessories as well as gifts, children’s clothes and knitwear. We wanted to do something which would include the whole community and we think the Artichoke Collection Fashion Show fits the bill perfectly.”
Entry to the Show, which starts at 7.00 for 7.30pm, costs just £5 and tickets are available from three outlets in Aylsham: Barnwells Newsagents, Carousel Chocolates and the Market Place fruit & veg stall. Alternatively, you can phone 01263 862396.
