Bardwell Open Gardens

Sunday 16th June 2013

1.30pm – 6.30pm

One of the favourite ways of enjoying the British Summer,  is visiting and meandering through the unique, private gardens that open – often just for one day – in aid of a range of good causes across many of our towns and villages.

On Sunday 16th June 2013, from 1.30pm – 6.30pm, visitors will have the opportunity to explore  fourteen varied gardens in the village of Bardwell, Suffolk which include an unusual collection of sempervivum, agave and other succulents; wildflower meadows full of early purple and bee orchids, whilst one of the gardens appears capable of feeding the whole village!.  There is the intoxicating fragrance of rosa rugosa in full bloom, and irises which are just blooming as a result of the late spring and so will be at their very best on the day.
