Beccles and Bungay Taekwondo Clubs Seminar Grading

Students from both Beccles and Bungay Taekwondo Clubs recently took part in their annual winter grading/seminar hosted at Bungay High School. A complete range of the belt grades took part, from white belt to black tag, and a few Black belts who joined the seminar.

The ages of the students taking part were from 5 upwards, all being tested on the progression of their Taekwondo skills and techniques including: punching, kicking, blocking, patterns, self-defence, sparring and some Korean terminology. The senior students also have to do destruction which is the breaking of plastic boards with specific hand and foot techniques.

GTUK Examiner Mr Steve King 6th Degree from Wellingborough was very impressed with the standards achieved by both clubs and issued 100% pass rate.

Training is now underway for the upcoming Regional and National tournaments in February and April, the next club gradings will be at the end of March.

Both clubs are always ready to welcome new students of all ages and abilities to come and try this great martial art, ideal for families to take part in, as many parents train alongside their children.
