BECCLES FESTIVAL VIDEO POEM
No poetic experience is required, just jot down your memories, impressions and hopes for Beccles on one of the ‘What Beccles Means to Me’ postcards you can find at Beccles Library, Beccles Books, or St Michael’s Church. Just a couple of words or sentences are fine and contributions from all ages are very welcome.
Festival Poet-in-Residence Dean Parkin will be editing all your material to produce the final poem, which will be premiered at the 2012 Beccles Festival Celebration Service on 23rd September 2012.
He is also holding a series of workshops with schools and other groups, including a session open to the public in Beccles Library on Saturday September 8th, 2-4pm; if you would like to come along, please contact Stephen Amer at the library on 01502 714073, or email him at [email protected].
You will also be able to find the finished poem on the Beccles Festival website and in the local press.
