Established 01/07/05, with the aim of promoting and facilitating the playing of CHESS in Lowestoft, North Suffolk, South-East Norfolk including the Waveney towns of Beccles, Bungay, Halesworth and Loddon.

The Lowestoft Ex-Servicemens Club Chess Group meets every Monday evening at the club in Gordon Road, Lowestoft – opposite the bus station – starting at 7pm for juniors and 7.30 for seniors.

This group welcomes all chess players of any age or ability – You DO NOT have to be an ex-serviceman to join. The group runs two teams in the Norfolk County Chess League so places are available for competitive games for the season starting mid September.
