Wymondham Abbey Crib

Between now and Christmas there are a number of events and services for children and their families at Wymondham Abbey – Children’s Craft Time sessions, a Christingle Service, a Crib Service and the Christmas Tree Festival.

There will be three Children’s Christmas Craft Time sessions, with traditional activities and craft to keep your little elves busy.  There are two on Monday 21 December, one from 10am to 12noon and the second from 2pm – 4pm. The third follows on Tuesday 22 December in the morning. Activities include art and craft to take home, stories, games and music.  It’s best to book (just £5 per child, including drink and a snack) as places are limited – ring Esther on 01953 607062.  Suitable for children from 4 -11 years.

On Sunday 13 December at 3pm there will be the traditional Children’s Christingle service. This is a candlelit service during which children will make Christingles.  On Christmas Eve, at 4:30pm there’s the popular Crib Service. The church is normally packed for this wonderful occasion. This year there will be a few surprises – come along and find out!

And throughout December there’s the Abbey’s Christmas Tree festival, with the church filled with 40 trees. Enjoy the trees and vote for your favourite.

The Abbey is open Monday to Saturday from 10am until 3pm.
