Upper St. Giles Street Christmas Party on Dec 5th 2013

One of the city centre’s most idiosyncratic streets is to hold its own Christmas Party on Thursday 5 December – and everyone is welcome!

Situated on the edge of the famed Norwich Lanes area of independent shopping, Upper St Giles Street has been highlighted in the national press recently as one of the east’s most exciting places to shop, eat and live.

The street is a delightful mix of the commercial and the residential featuring thriving independent businesses alongside lovely old houses and flats.

Upper St Giles Street will be closed to traffic on Thursday 5th December from 4pm as businesses and residents spill out onto the streets to celebrate the run up to Christmas and extend a warm welcome to all.

Shops and parlours will be open until 9pm selling an array of gorgeous and unusual presents amidst aromatic smells from the traditional and exotic food and drink offerings. There’s also a street trail that invites shoppers to visit each trader to collect a letter from each, solve the puzzle and win prizes.

Residents will be joining in with entertainment including a street choir, Elvis Elves and The Neutrinos will have exclusive merchandise on sale and be providing refreshment from their own bar.
