Covent Garden Entertainers -Robot-Rock

Launching on Thursday 11 July 2013 at 5.30pm, Norwich will be alive with entertainers from the world famous London Convent Garden.

Visitors to the city can expect to see Timberhill, Gentlemans Walk and St Andrews Plain buzzing with street entertainment talent.

The launch night will see five exciting acts showcasing their talent and wowing visitors.  The line-up for the night will include Rob Roy Collins one of the UK’s top escape artists and Guinness World record holder, Mr Spin, juggler and unicyclist from Australia and Pete Dobbing a hilarious knife juggling street performer and comedian.  Complementing these acts will be two walk about performers, Robot Rock a giant 7ft interactive robot and Giant Ladybirds a charming walkabout double act.

Organised by the Norwich Business Improvement District (BID), free Thursday evening entertainment in Norwich will run until Thursday 26 September 2013.  Events will delight visitors as they wonder and explore the city.  The intention is that entertainers will rotate around key Norwich locations and visitors will discover events as they move about the city centre.  The entertainers will attract and engage the crowd leaving a memorable impression.

Not only will the city see a taste of Covent Garden but visitors can also expect to see lively and colourful carnival style events, music including African drumming, samba, workshops and giant garden games.
