Setting the Scene for a Celebration of Performance, Cinema and Arts Projects as Creative Arts East turns 20!
Arts development charity Creative Arts East is putting on its best bib and tucker to host a very special event and showcase this week, to say ‘Thank You’ to its scores of dedicated local promoters and supporting partners.
This year, the Wymondham-based organisation is proudly celebrating its 20th year of supporting rural communities to bring professional live performance and top cinema screenings into the heart of their own villages and communities across Norfolk and Suffolk. On top of this Creative Arts East also runs a wide portfolio of projects and opportunities for young people and volunteers, and a countywide distribution service.
To mark the occasion, the special showcase and celebration will be held on Friday 3rd October 2014, from 12noon to 3.30pm at The Connaught Hall in Attleborough. Local promoters from both the Live! and Village Screen schemes will have the chance meet each other, exchange stories and ideas and meet the whole CAE team in person. Representatives from some of Creative Arts East’s partner organisations will also be present and the event promises an exciting showcase of some of the fabulous live entertainment offers coming up, an overview of the breadth of the work over the last 20 years and of course some celebratory cake!
The day is an ideal way of celebrating the past 20 years and looking forward to a very busy and exciting future for the organisation, and Director Natalie Jode added “The tireless work of our local promoters is the single most valuable asset of our organisation, and has been crucial in ensuring the continuation of Creative Arts East’s work over the years, so we are very excited about this opportunity to gather them together to say thank you for all their efforts and boundless energy!”
