The 2015 East Anglian Game & Country Fair will take place on Saturday the 25th & Sunday the 26th April, at The Norfolk Showground, Norwich.

Dig Diss: Community archaeology weekend marks start of Heritage Triangle work

imageAn archaeological dig will take place behind the council offices on Market Hill from 10am to 5pm on Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 March 2015, as part of the Diss Heritage Triangle project.

Dig Diss is the first of many community activities planned as part of the project and will involve pupils from Diss High School and the Waveney branch of the Norfolk Young Archaeologists. The children will work under the supervision of staff and students from the Centre of East Anglian Studies at the University of East Anglia and will help with digging, recording finds, and then cleaning and identifying the items unearthed. » Read More

Norfolk and Suffolk attractions are investing more than £7.7 million in new facilities and events to improve the visitor experience.

Halesworth Rising: £15 million improvement projects come under the spotlight

imagePeople in Halesworth are being invited to find out more about exciting projects which have been designed to improve healthcare, sports, leisure and heritage facilities and together represent an investment of around £15m in the town. The Halesworth Rising group has organised a special community projects fair on Saturday 21 March 2015 at the Rifle Hall.

Simon Weeks, chairman of the Halesworth Rising group, said: “This special drop-in event will give people living in Halesworth and the surrounding areas the perfect opportunity to find out more about the wide range of fantastic developments in the pipeline for the town.
