Green Boat Show

Fairhaven Woodland and Water Garden’s annual Green Festival, incorporating the Green Boat Show, is on Sunday, June 21 from 10am to 5pm. There will be a packed day of entertainment and fun environmental activities on land and afloat.

Normal entry charges to Fairhaven Garden at South Walsham apply on the day: adult £6.20, concessions £5.70 and child £3.65 (under 5 free), with some additional charges for boating activities. The event is supporting the Love the Broads charity.

Entertainment features music from The He Hews and John Brown blues singer, The Pedant’s Revolt Morris Dancers, Stevie Spud’s circus skills workshop, children’s clay play, face painting and maypole dancing.

Activities and exhibitors include Avril’s Art (glassware and beads), Bill and Ben’s Plants, Books and Bits, Brilliant Little Planet, Broadland District Council Energy Bus, Broads Authority, Broads Spirituality, Compassion in World Farming, Chain Saw Art, Free Spirit Canoe Tours, Jams and Juice, Hallswood Animal Sanctuary, The Hawking Experience, Help Tibet, Hunter’s Fleet (two boats), Lex’s Legacy (Husky dog rescue), Love the Broads, Norfolk Broads Direct electric boat, Norfolk Wildlife Trust, Postwick Green Group, Predator Plants, Raptor Trust, RSPB, Wattlefield Pottery, Wild Touch Animal Rescue, the Wind Energy Museum and Wood ‘N’ Art.

Louise Rout, Manager Fairhaven Woodland and Water Garden said: “We are really looking forward to the Green Festival and Green Boat Show. We have a busy programme of family entertainment, with activities afloat and on dry land, along with Norfolk businesses and charities with a ‘green’ focus.”

There is wheelchair access throughout the garden. Mobility scooters are available. Fairhaven offers accessible boat trips. Visitors requiring special facilities are advised to telephone in advance.
