Final evening of FREE Norwich street entertainment

Various street acts have been entertaining shoppers and visitors in the city centre on Thursday evenings over the last 11 weeks as part of a project from the Norwich Business Improvement District (BID).

Norwich BID wants to try to create a fun and vibrant atmosphere on Thursday evenings to encourage people to stay in the city and enjoy all of what Norwich has to offer from shopping and cafes to bars and restaurants.

The summer season of free Norwich street entertainment draws to a close on Thursday 26 August 2014 with a superb array of acts.

To really give the final night of the season a bang, sounds of Brazil will take to Gentleman’s Walk giving a vibrant carnival vibe.  Bloco Foguete combines the best of Brazillian popular music with the power of a bateria to create the joyous carnival sound.  Get in the carnival spirit at 5pm, 6.20pm and 7.20pm.

At the bottom of Timberhill at 5pm, 6pm and 7pm, Covent Garden’s Spikey Will (Man of Danger) who specialises in danger with a huge element of fun, will perform an extreme bed of nails act.  See two beds of razor sharp nails, him lying between them, and a fully grown adult male standing on top of the whole thing.

For a more chilled out atmosphere, local act and Latitude favourite Meg Bays will be performing acoustic covers of pop, rock, motown, folk and RnB on St Gregory’s Green at 5pm, 5.40pm, 6.40pm and 7.40pm.
