Fusion Musical Theatre is entering its fourth year and has staged 13 productions so far. We are about to start our 14th – and we are expanding !!
The benefits of being a Fusion member are no longer just for children – we are now delighted to offer an adult group from this September, rehearsing for a Christmas production in our local community. Following the success of the Junior group, which now has 21 members aged 6-14yrs, Fusion is opening its doors to ALL those who would like to be part of a friendly and alternative musical drama group.
There is NO requirement to read music, NO experience of amateur dramatics is necessary, NO auditions, NO pressure to participate in any element that you do not enjoy. There WILL be opportunities to collaborate with others through singing, drama, choreography and dance, playing in the band, making scenery… whichever of these (if not all) appeal to you. Fusion tailors its productions to the group, rather than the other way round. This will be an exploration of music and drama in an encouraging and affirming environment.
Rehearsals for the adult group will be on a Thursday morning 10.30 – 12.00 in Burgh ST Peter Village Hall. There may be other rehearsal slots available to you, if there is a particular day or time that would suit you then let us know and we will endeavour to accommodate all who wish to be involved.
We will run a 10 week term (breaking for half term) and the fees will be £5 per rehearsal, with no extra cost for productions which are also free to audiences. In the last year we have raised a tremendous £1070 for the Bulgarian Orphans Fund, through your voluntary audience donations. We will continue this link with BOF and hope to raise more in the coming year, through all our Fusion groups.
