Despite the often challenging weather conditions throughout last Spring and Summer, 2012 has been a very successful year for the 70 garden owners who opened their gardens for the National Gardens Scheme in Norfolk. Over £73,000 has been raised for the nursing and caring charities supported by the NGS and is a 10% increase compared to 2011.

This could not have been achieved without the vital contributions from our press and media contacts in helping to publicise garden open days, so a very grateful thanks to you all from everyone in the Norfolk volunteer team.

We now look forward to 2013 which will see 18 new gardens opening,so it promises to be another exciting garden visiting year starting with snowdrop walks in early February.

The 2013 Yellow Booklet detailing all the gardens and their opening dates will be launched on the 5th February at Hoveton Hall Gardens by the well-known cartoonist and sculptor, Annie Tempest .

The booklet will be available from garden centres, nurseries, tourist information offices, libraries and local press offices.
