Heveningham Hall Country Fair & Concours d’Elegance

8th & 9th JULY, 2017 10am to 5pm

Following on from its hugely successful inaugural event last year as part of the Country Fair, Heveningham Hall in Suffolk once again plays host on 8th & 9th July to a Concours d’Elegance where some 50 of the most iconic cars that the automotive industry has ever produced are displayed against the backdrop of the Grade I listed Georgian mansion on dramatic grass terraces designed by renowned landscape architect Kim Wilkie.

Along with Bonhams, the event will also be sponsored by renowned British watch company Bremont and Mercedes.  In addition to the finest motor cars Heveningham Hall will also play host to an array of vintage aircraft for the first time. The aviation concours, which also runs over the weekend, celebrates exquisite engineering and detailing in all its forms. Entrants in both the aviation and motorsport concours compete for bronze trophies designed by renowned Suffolk-based sculptor Laurence Edwards.

The event coincides with the annual country fair which itself attracts over 20,000 visitors who enjoy everything from aerobatic displays courtesy of the Blades to powerboat racing from Gordon Cook and his 2 Seater F1 powerboat, bungee jumps to stunt horses in the 5,000-acre Capability Brown landscape. Other attractions for 2017 include ‘The Ken Fox Wall of Death!’, High Lodge Clay Pigeon Shoot, a wide range of livestock and small animals and, of course, the Sheep Show. Visitors can also enjoy a wide range of tasty local produce at the many food stalls or shop for local homewares, gifts, arts & crafts and clothing plus a wide range of vehicle manufacturers will be displaying their latest models.

In the main ring, other attractions include the Rockwood Dog Display Team, Waveney Harriers and the Sutherland Pipes and Drums not to mention the Tractor Parade, Suffolk Punches and Icarus Falconry. All proceeds raised from the country fair and both concours go to charity and over the years The Heveningham Hall Country Fair Trust, which organises the events, has raised over £600,000 for local charities.

Though remaining tight-lipped about many of the exhibiting cars and aeroplanes, which are all now confirmed and were by invitation only, Heveningham Hall has released the details of a few motor cars including a 2017 Ferrari LaFerrari Aperta and a 2016 McLaren P1 GTR which will appear alongside a 1995 McLaren F1 GTR. Earlier models include a 1934 Alfa Romeo Tipo B-P3 and a 1951 Ferrari 212 Barchetta.
