Heveningham Hall Country Fair

The organisers of this year’s Heveningham Hall Country Fair with Wings and Wheels have hailed the two day event as a great success.

For the second year running the Country Fair teamed up with Wings and Wheels to bring an action-packed programme of aerobatic displays and a wide range of attractions on the ground including bungee jump, planes landing and taking off throughout the weekend, animal events, shopping, country crafts, local food producers and outlets not to mention live music, a funfair and displays of vintage cars, motorbikes and canoeing on the lake.

Commenting on the success of the event, the chairman and trustee Anne Clark, said: “We were incredibly lucky with the weather all in all with quite a bit of sunshine over the two days which enabled all of the aerobatic displays to go ahead. We were also wowed by a spectacular fly past by not one, but two, Battle of Britain Memorial Flight Spitfires. We would like to say a very large thank you to all exhibitors, volunteers and, of course, visitors who made the event so spectacular. We are already looking forward to planning next year’s Fair.”

All proceeds from the Fair, with the exception of the Clay Shoot and Heveningham Hall 10k run, go to the Heveningham Hall Country Fair Trust which supports local communities for village and school projects, church repairs and individual cases of need.

This year all proceeds from the Clay Shoot, which was run by the National Gamekeepers’ Association, go to ‘Marie Curie’ and all proceeds from the Heveningham Hall 10km and short-course run go to a great national charity ‘Get Kids Going’.
