Norwich-Ambassador

If you are passionate about Norwich, its cultural and its heritage, join the Norwich Ambassadors Scheme and help spread the word about our fine city.

Norwich’s Heritage Economic and Regeneration Trust (HEART), in conjunction with VisitNorwich Ltd., are running another of the popular Norwich Ambassador Scheme courses on Wednesday 26th March 2014, at 2pm.

The scheme has been hugely successful, with over 300 Norwich lovers being trained since the courses started in 2010.

The Norwich Ambassador Scheme is designed for any frontline staff, such as taxi drivers, hotel receptionists and venue assistants, as well as being suitable for any individual who wants to learn more about what Norwich has to offer, and its stunning heritage. The sessions are interactive and provide an overview of Norwich’s tourism industry, its cultural heritage as well as current events and festivals. Trained delegates receive free passes and money-off at some of Norwich’s key attractions and benefit from an exclusive series of Ambassador+ events and talks, as well as a Norwich Ambassador badge, window sticker, certificate and a delegate pack to take away with useful general information about Norwich and the iconic Norwich 12 buildings.

The Ambassador Scheme formed part of HEART’s SHAPING 24 project until 2013, a cultural heritage and tourism initiative that took forward the Norwich 12 project with the Belgian city of Ghent. Due to the huge success of the Norwich Ambassador Scheme, with over 300 people trained, HEART have decided to continue the sessions to encourage more people to champion their fine city.

Prices per person (inc. VAT) are £50 for commercial companies, £37 for charities / small businesses (10 staff or less) and £25 for individuals. Please note that unfortunately the Guildhall is not accessible for wheelchair users.

Michael Loveday, Chief Executive of HEART, said: ““Norwich has internationally renowned cultural heritage resources as well as excellent shopping, entertainment, leisure pursuits and events. We have been massively impressed by the pride and enthusiasm exhibited so far by people attending these courses and have been delighted that the Ambassadors focus that passion into sharing the ‘Norwich product’ to the visiting public. We would encourage anyone with an interest and pride in Norwich to join the Scheme, explore Norwich’s hidden gems and share their knowledge to inspire others.”

Places for the Norwich Ambassador Scheme on Wednesday 26th March at 2pm are limited and are allocated on a first come first served basis. Find out more at www.heritagecity.org/nas or book online via https://bookwhen.com/heart.
