Mere Players will be holding a presentation for their next production,
‘Blithe Spirit’
at Roydon Village Hall on
Sunday April 30th at 3 pm.
The play is set at the house of the writer, Charles Condomine and his wife, Ruth. He invites a local eccentric medium, Madame Arcati, to hold a séance at his house, intending to gather inspiration for his new book. He also asks his friends, Dr Bradman and his wife to attend. Initially, he thinks the whole event has been a total failure but it soon becomes clear that Madame Arcati has unwittingly brought back the ghost of Charles’ first wife, Elvira, to haunt him. The story unfolds as they try to return Elvira back to the other side.
Production dates are Thursday 2nd – Saturday 4th November at Roydon.
