Real Ale and Music Festival
25th to 27th August 2012
The MNR’s first ever Real Ale and Music Festival at Dereham Station features great live music and scores of different Real Ales from local breweries. Ciders, spirits and soft drinks will also be available, and an on-board bar will be available on most trains.
An intensive timetable will operate between Dereham and Wymondham ALL DAY using a mix of steam and heritage diesel locos.
A late night service is laid on at 2130 and 2330 from Dereham to get people home!
Hot food will be available on all days right through to the evenings, as well as in the Station Buffet for cold snacks and sandwiches during the day.
Live Bands will be entertaining people on Saturday & Sunday evening, with music & DJs at other times.
MNR intends to run a free heritage shuttle bus to North Elmham for “The Railway Tavern’s” Beer Festival.
MNR will be operating a Challenge 25 policy over the weekend. Youthful goodlookers, must be prepared to show an ID confirming their age!
Standard train fares apply for this event. Day rover tickets (for unlimited travel) will be available at the following prices, which includes Free Entry to the Beer Festival.
Day Rover: £18; Members’ day rover: £12; Two-day rover: £30; Three-day rover: £40 Child day rovers are half price.
Please note that the MNR is unable to give discount for HRA passes or Priv. cards.
Entry to the Beer Festival, £3, OR free with a valid MNR day rover ticket. For CAMRA Members holding a valid membership card, entry is £1. The event’s Special Limited Edition MNR Pint glass, is also available, for the cost of £2.00, Non Refundable.
