M&S SIMPLY FOOD NORWICH OPENS ITS DOORS AT SWEET BRIAR RETAIL PARK

M&S Simply Food Norwich at Sweet Briar Retail Park opened its doors for the first time on Wednesday, July 23 2104, making it the first M&S Simply Food Store to open in Norfolk.

Hundreds of customers turned out at the official opening, which saw a traditional ribbon cutting take place to mark the occasion with store manager, Simon Rossiter, and more than 100 new members of M&S staff.  Following the official opening at 10am, shoppers were invited in-store to peruse up to 5,000 quality M&S food and drink products, including those from the ‘Summer of Flavour’ collection and freshly baked pastries from the in-store Bakery.

Store Manager, Simon Rossiter, said: “After working hard to prepare the store for its opening, we were thrilled to open our doors in Sweet Briar Retail Park this morning. There were crowds of shoppers at the opening, eager to see all that their new M&S Simply Food has to offer.

“We’re really pleased to be open in Norwich and offer the first Simply Food store in Norfolk. I’m looking forward to welcoming people from Norwich and the surrounding area to come and see all the exciting products in-store along with our in-store Bakery and 50-seat Café, which serves Fairtrade tea and coffee as well as sandwiches, cakes and a range of hot snacks.”

Jude Orange and her grandson Freddie Hunter were the first customers through the doors. Jude said: “I am delighted that the new M&S Simply Food store is open at Sweet Briar Retail Park – the location is ideal as it means I can shop every weekend without fighting through the crowds of Norwich city centre and park close by and for free.”

The store also offers ‘Shop Your Way’, allowing customers to order either online or in-store from M&S’ full product range – including clothing – with free next day collection from store.

M&S Simply Food Norwich is open between 8.00am and 8.00pm Monday – Saturday and 10.30am – 4.30pm on Sundays, with free parking available at the retail park.
