Suffolk’s mobile libraries stock both adult and children’s fiction and non-fiction, large print books and audiobooks. The three mobile libraries cover 53 routes and visit over 200 towns and villages across Suffolk with 475 individual stops. More details on Route 17 and other mobile library routes can be found on the Suffolk Libraries website www.suffolklibraries.co.uk/libraries-and-mobiles

People can call their local library to find out if a mobile visits their village, or ring the central enquiry line on 01473 584563. There is also a volunteer-run Home Library Service which provides a service to people unable to get to their library or mobile library. Customers can reserve items from the county’s other libraries via the website or by giving details to the mobile library staff and then pick them up when the mobile library visits.

Suffolk Libraries are now run by the Suffolk’s Libraries IPS which is an independent and charitable body set up to manage Suffolk’s libraries.
