ure Start Children’s Centre

Families in King’s Lynn are being invited to celebrate the opening of a new Sure Start Children’s Centre, with a fun day on Wednesday 5th April 2017, 1-3pm.

Among the many activities on offer on the day will be arts & crafts, messy play and an Easter egg hunt with the Easter Bunny at the new premises at 4 Walpole Road in the heart of the North Lynn area.

The event is to mark the opening of a new venue for the North Lynn, Gaywood North Bank and The Woottons Children’s Centre as, for the past five years, the service, run by Norfolk Community Health and Care NHS Trust (NCH&C), funded by Norfolk County Council, has been operating out of local community buildings – although they will also continue to use these.

The Children’s Centre offers services to families with children under eight years of age and is home to diverse team of support workers and therapists, who offer a range of activities from child health clinics, breastfeeding support, baby massage, baby group and stay and play.

Valerie Heath, Centre Manager said: “We’re excited to hold this event and are planning for a real street party feel to celebrate the building being officially open.

“Local families are very welcome to come and join in with the fun and we will be on hand on the day to give out any information about the services we provide.”
