A Tale of Mystery or Imagination? Become Lost in Austen at Downham Market

Jane Austen’s classic novel ‘Northanger Abbey’ is brought to life onstage by award winning theatre company Box Tale Soup at Downham Market Town Hall, on Friday 11th December at 7.30pm with support from the arts and community development charity Creative Arts East.

When the young and impressionable Catherine Morland visits her cousins in the impressive but imposing Northanger Abbey, her favourite pastime is devouring Gothic novels and looking for romance and intrigue at every turn. But are the mysterious documents and unexpected happenings at the strange old house just the fevered imaginings of a naive young girl, or is something more sinister afoot?

You can see ‘Northanger Abbey’ at Downham Market Town Hall on Friday 11th December at 7.30pm.

This show is suitable for ages 10 years+.
