Pounds for Pudsey

The library will be raising money for Children in Need by selling knitted Pudsey bears, paper Pudseys, Pudsey puppets, chocolate Pudseys, Pudsey 2014 calendars, Pudsey key-rings, Pudsey bags and more. The sale will be running from Friday 8 to Sunday 24 November.

 

Classical music and book sale

On Friday 1 November the Friends of Southwold Library will be holding two fundraising events to support the library.

There will be an evening of flute music by Dorking Flutes, Waveney Flutes and Flauti Dolchi at 7.30pm in the Methodist Church Hall in East Green. The evening will include a varied programme of popular classical pieces and is being sponsored by Jolly Music. Tickets are £5 and can be booked at Southwold Library or by calling the library on 01502 722519.

There will also be a sale of donated books and a selection of flute and recorder music for sale from 2pm to 6pm at the Methodist Church Hall.

 

Other events

On Sunday 16 November the Friends of Southwold Library are holding a craft fair from 10am to 3pm at the Scout Hut in Mights Road.

The Blyth Poets are holding their monthly poetry group meeting at Southwold Library on Wednesday 6 November at 7pm. Anyone is welcome to come along to read or listen to poetry and the group invites contributions of original work or well-loved poems.

On the fourth Monday of the month there is a meeting of the Play Reading Group. The next meeting takes place on Friday 25 November from 10.30am to 12noon.
