End to End

From Land’s End to John O’Groats – 3 women, 18 days, 874 miles and one BIG story!

Come and hear the extraordinary story of three women making an unusual and daring journey from one end of Great Britain to another in the show End to End at Freckenham Village Hall on Friday 4th October at 8pm with support from the arts and community development charity Creative Arts East.

Trusting only their resourcefulness and the kindness of strangers, Ria, Kristy and Hannah made an 18-day, 874-mile journey from Land’s End to John O’Groats, completing their unusual expedition on as many varieties of transport as possible including; travelling the country roads of Gloucester on a pink tractor, riding through Nottingham in three Back to the Future Deloreans and leaving Edinburgh in style on an old fashioned red London bus.

End to End is a heart warming story of the women’s journey; the trials and tribulations they faced along the way; the unexpected acts of kindness they encountered; a story about friendship, adventure and momentary connections made on the road. They wonder whether the seeds planted will grow into something more meaningful. The trio take the audience on a unique journey leaving them itching for their own adventure. End to End is a very warm, playful show, which cleverly uses audience interaction and gorgeous storytelling to bring people together.

You can see End to End at Freckenham Village Hall on Friday 4th October at 8pm.

This event is organised in partnership with Creative Arts East with funding by Suffolk County Council, Forest Heath District Council, the Esmée Fairbairn Foundation and Arts Council England.

Dracula

Dracula

The chilling tale of DRACULA comes to life at village halls across Norfolk!

The 19th Century, gothic fable of DRACULA, will be told to those who dare

to listen in village halls across Norfolk throughout October, with support from the arts and community development charity Creative Arts East.

This classic tale is told with all the grace of a 1930’s Hollywood horror, by a cast of five slightly deranged and definitely contagious actors from the established theatre company The Keeper’s Daughter. This rapid retelling of strangers binding together in order to defeat a greater evil thunders along at lightning pace, with The Keeper’s Daughter presenting a faithful and unique adaptation of Bram Stoker’s

timeless story.

This inventive theatre company uses theatre and storytelling to stimulate imagination as well as using elements of Lecoq physical theatre: clown, ensemble and chorus work. Their style is big, fast and imaginative!

You can see DRACULA at the following venues and dates:

  • Magdalen Village Hall, Saturday 5th October at 7pm
  • Kettlestone Village Hall on Saturday 12th October at 8pm
  • Whissonsett Village Hall on Saturday 19th October at 7.30pm.

This event is organised in partnership with Creative Arts East with funding by Norfolk County Council, Breckland District Council, North Norfolk District Council, King’s Lynn and West Norfolk District Council, the Esmée Fairbairn Foundation and Arts Council England.
