‘Our Day Out’

Arts and community development charity, Creative Arts East, are delighted to share their upcoming dance workshops in August as part of their ‘Our Day Out’ programme specifically designed for older people, as well as being suitable for those living with early to mid stage dementia and their carers.

In partnership with Breckland District Council, the charity is hosting monthly activity afternoons in Dereham, Watton and Attleborough. 

The August workshops will be lead by the Green Candle Dance Company who has been one of the leading dance companies at the forefront of developing participatory dementia friendly dance projects.

With over 29 years’ of experience Green Candle Dance Company provides opportunities for those with least access to it in community, health and education settings.

Their seated dance workshops are aimed to stimulate both mind and body, with a variety of fun and uplifting activities delivered by our specialist dance artists.

All ‘Our Day Out’ workshops give people a chance to socialise and have a good time, and participants can engage in as little or as much as they like in a friendly understanding environment.

And to end each session, a much deserved tea and cake break will be available!
