The Grounds of The Cathedral of St John the Baptist will play host to a pan-tastic event at the inaugural Priests & Parishioners’ Pancake Race on 17^th February 2015.

As all pancake lovers know, Shrove Tuesday is the time to mix up your batter & get tossing. The Cathedral of St John the Baptiste is proud to host this fun event for all ages on Shrove Tuesday (17^th February) at 11.00am.

Everyone is welcome and we are hoping for a flipping brilliant turn out! All you need is a frying pan and the Cathedral kitchen will supply the rest.

Father David says “This is a wonderful opportunity to bring together members of the parish (both young and old), to celebrate this delightful tradition.

It also gives us the opportunity to showcase our magnificent grounds to the wider community.

I hope that it will become an annual event that will become a part of the parish calendar.”
