We go on air at 10.00am on Tuesday August 4th with a variety of informative and entertaining programmes with music to suit a variety of tastes.

Pop, Corn & Grace will be broadcasting each day between 7am & 9pm (with overnight repeats).  The radio shows are being written, produced and broadcasts by local people and will be put together by a production team made up of young people from the Ingworth Deanery.  This week the teenagers have been to BBC Voices to learn more about radio broadcasting and to brush up on technical skills.  Each evening some of the young people involved will be hosting their own cafe style radio show with live chat & music.

The Bishop of Lynn will be co-presenting the Launch Show and also presenting his own shows during the week.

This year’s theme which will be running throughout the week is “One Voice” and we’ll be thinking about inspirational people whose voices have helped changed our world for the better.

Revd Canon Andrew Beane, Vicar of Aylsham said “I am delighted that our church is hosting Pop, Corn & Grace this year and am really excited about how the Radio Project will engage different generations.  It’s wonderful to see how we can use our Church building in creative and initiative ways to celebrate life, art, heritage & culture”

Pop, Corn & Grace 87.7FM is running alongside the Norwich Diocese Open Churches Week and we’ll also be promoting the vast array of different activities and events that are going on in hundreds of Churches across Norfolk.

Open Churches Week will be launched on Sunday August 2nd with a special service led by the Bishop of Lynn, the Rt. Revd. Jonathan Meyrick, at 2.30pm in Aylsham Church. There are a number of activities planned for the afternoon along with refreshments.
