Leading first aid charity St John Ambulance is running a series of first aid awareness sessions at many of the county’s libraries as part of its fourth annual ‘Save a Life September’ Campaign.
Anyone is welcome to the sessions which give people a chance to watch a number of first aid techniques being demonstrated and learn the skills needed to save someone’s life.
Sue Killen, CEO of St John Ambulance, said: “We believe that no one should die because they needed first aid and didn’t get it, which is why we are running our Save a Life September campaign again. By holding first aid demonstrations across the country, we want to reach as many people aspossible, so that more people are equipped with the skills to save a life. Anyone who needs first aid should get it, and armed with this knowledge we can all be the difference between a life lost and a life saved.”
The sessions are free and no booking is required. They are running as follows at the following libraries throughout September:
