Saxmundham-Christmas-Fair-Friday-6th-December-2013

As the sun sets on Friday 6th December the quaint market town of Saxmundham will light up for it’s annual Christmas Fair from 4pm to 8pm and fill with surprises to delight and entertain residents and visitors of all ages.

The traditional lantern parade will proceed from the church at 5.15pm and a real life Santa arrives on his sleigh with gifts for the children who can visit him from 5.45 in his Grotto at the Market Hall.  Tickets to see him are available from H G Crisp for only £2.

Lights will twinkle throughout the pretty high street following the official switch on at 5.30 and the town will be alive with fun activities for all the family with old fashioned fairground attractions like the crooked house, bucking bronco, bouncy castle and roundabout; steam train and pony and trap rides are sure to delight the little ones and side stalls with face painting, candy floss and belly dancers will amuse and entertain the crowds.

Enjoy Christmas shopping for friends and family from the stalls selling arts and crafts and delicious local produce as the scent of mince pies, roasting coffee and mulled wine fills the air and mingles with the sound of carols sung by the local choir.
