September Entertainment at Beccles Public Hall

becclespublichall.org.uk

After Phase Two of scheduled renovation work on the balcony and foyer is completed in mid September, we have some really diverse and entertaining events to welcome everyone back with.

Ian-Sainsbury

On Saturday 19th September, we welcome the very popular and talented local choir leader and musician, Ian Sainsbury, who has already increased the Hall fundraising coffers in the recent past with two marvellous performances from the Lowestoft and Beccles Rock Choir.

You are invited to join us on Saturday 19th at 7.30pm for just £5 when the bar will be open and popup pianobar comes to town.

Ian is following a very popular continental style of live music entertainment, particularly popular in Norway and his style of playing on our Steinway Grand piano is wonderfully relaxed and welcoming.

poem-for-suffolk

Following swiftly on Sunday the 20th at 3pm we welcome the hugely talented Dean Parkin to the Hall for Poem For Suffolk. Dean is half-Suffolk – Lowestoft mother, Yorkshire father. A childhood with two ways of saying everything. No wonder he became a poet!

Poem For Suffolk sees Dean unleash his local side and share discoveries from a year-long mission across the county – to meet people of all ages and help them create their own poems about their Suffolk lives.

And the result? An entertaining mix of “talking proper”, film and music presented by Dean with long-term collaborator, Maurice Horhut at the piano.

A tender, revealing and funny show about what modern Suffolk really means. Tickets are £7 or tow for £12. There will be post-performance Q&A, refreshments on sale and a Poem For Suffolk book signing.

second-best-exotic-marigold-hotel-movie

Film at the Hall returns after a Summer break on the 24th with a much-awaited continuation to the Best Exotic Marigold Hotel when we are delighted to be screening The Second  Best Exotic Marigold Hotel in the afternoon at 2pm and in the evening at 7.30pm on Thursday 24th September.

Enjoy part two of this exquisite story as the Best Exotic Marigold Hotel has only a single remaining vacancy which poses a room predicament for two fresh arrivals and Sonny pursues his expansionist dream of opening a second hotel.

122 minutes of heavenly joy – don’t miss the second serving of Best Marigold, Cert. PG.

Tickets are £5 and just £4 for Concessions: Over 60s and under 16s. All tickets can be bought here on line.
