Slaughter in Southwold’ Crime Writers’ Festival

Dear all,

I’m just sending round an update and reminder about our ‘Slaughter in Southwold’ Crime Writers’ Festival on Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 June – suffolklibraries.co.uk/slaughter

The talk with Peter James is now fully booked but there are still 7 more author talks available including:

  • Hugh Fraser, best known for playing Captain Hastings in ‘Poirot’ and now about to publish his second crime novel ‘Threat’ (little known fact – he also co-wrote the theme tune to Rainbow!)
  • Renee Knight, author of ‘Disclaimer’ described by Lee Child as ‘Sensationally good psychological suspense … exactly what a great thriller should be”
  • and Anya Lipska creator of the Janusz Kiszka thrillers set in London’s Polish community (who also provides Polish biscuits for her audience!).

Saturday and weekend passes are sold out but you can still buy a pass for all the Sunday events.

Tickets can be bought from www.ticketsource.co.uk/slaughterinsouthwold or from Southwold Library.

There are also places available for the crime-writing workshop with Kate Rhodes on the Saturday.

Any further publicity for the festival would be much appreciated and Slaughter in Southwold will be closely followed by the Felixstowe Book Festival felixstowebookfestival.co.uk – for which Felixstowe Library is the venue for the children’s events.

Many thanks
