Waveney Valley Model Railway Club, based at Barsham, is holding its 19th annual Southwold Model Railway Exhibition on Saturday 4th and Sunday 5th August 2007.

The Southwold Exhibition is recognised as one of the best such events in the east of England.

Twenty layouts in various scales and gauges have been invited, travelling from around the country! As well as the layouts there will be trade stands selling books and DVDs, all sorts of model railway items, new and secondhand, ready-to-run and kits and bits.

A specialist garden railway retailer will be attending this year for the first time along with a railway paint manufacturer and there will be modelling materials and tools.

Skilled modellers will be demonstrating their techniques and they will welcome anyone with any questions.

In the grounds there will be a live steam passenger carrying railway, operated by members of The Halesworth and District Model Engineering Society all hand built by individual members.

There is a large FREE car park and there is wheelchair access to and within the halls.

Light refreshments will be available and there is an outdoor (covered) seating area.
