Southwold Rugby Club Mini & Youth Roundup

Southwold Rugby Club Mini & Youth Roundup

We had a lovely start to a fantastic weekend of rugby with a youth training match Friday evening before showing the England game on a big screen at the club. It was fantastic to see the club buzzing with members and non members aged from 7 to 70. We even had some sailors turn up who had moored at the harbour for the evening and were looking for somewhere to watch the game this all created a fantastic atmosphere to watch the game.

Sunday morning saw the youth section travel to North Walsham for the Norfolk 10’s. The U13’s took a little while to get going in the first game and lost against Wymondham, they then had a good game against a mixed North Walsham side and lost in next game to North Walsham. The U14’s and U16’s both won one, drew one and lost one. The Colts won two, drew one and lost one.

The minis had training at the club and most sections had new players joining in, it is lovely to see new members and everyone making them so welcome.

If anyone would like to come to Southwold Rugby Club to have a go at rugby then please look at our website and contact the relevant coach or turn up to a training session. Or feel free to come along and watch an England game at the club, we will also be showing all the England games and knock-out games (whether England qualify or not!) live on a big screen in the clubhouse with food available.

This Saturday the club will be open all afternoon, as the first team are at home in a league game against Harlow at 3pm.
