Creative Employment Programme

It’s been a month of reflection here at Suffolk Artlink, as we put together our 2016/17 Annual Review. We look forward to sharing what will be a real celebration of our work with you next month.

In the meantime, our summer of fundraising continues with our very first Charity Open Garden at the end of July, we’d love to see you there!

Wishing you a warm and productive mid-summer.

New Autumn Workshops for Adult Family Carers

As our summer programme of arts workshops draws to a close, we are looking ahead to our new autumn Creative Company season for adult family carers in Stowmarket, starting in September. We’ll also be touring around Suffolk to bring a bit of creativity to existing family carer groups across the county. Read More.

Over and out from Rock Up

We’re coming to the end of our four-year Rock Up project in Lowestoft, and though it is a wrench to be ending our regular music sessions at Colville Youth Club, we’re leaving with such a lot to celebrate.

We’re delighted to announce that five of our Rock Up music students have recently gained their Bronze Arts Award. Read More.

You’re invited to our Charity Open Garden

We are looking forward to welcoming you to the very first Open Garden being held in support of Suffolk Artlink at Washingford Farm, Bergh Apton, on Sunday 30 July.

The garden will be open 11am – 4pm and entry costs £3.  Driving?  Set your Sat Nav to NR15 1DB, there is plentiful parking available. Read more.

Meet the Artist: Jacqueline Davies

July’s artist of the month is experienced arts practitioner, Jacqueline Davies. As someone whose work is often described as ‘happy’, we are delighted to have her as part of our team, bringing a bit of her own particular magic to our JumpstART art courses. Read more.

A word from our friends

Our friends at the Rural Coffee Caravan are fundraising £25k to replace their caravan after it was sadly stolen this month. If you’d like to help get this wonderful community resource addressing rural loneliness and isolation back on its feet, Ipswich Building Society are collecting donations at all nine branches or you can visit their crowdfunding page https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/ruralcoffeecaravan.

We are delighted to have raised over £900 after taking part in the Great East Swim in partnership with Allied Health Professionals Suffolk in June. We’d like to say a huge thank you to the 2017 team, whose swimming, baking and massaging efforts all contributed to the funds raised!
