The Hoffmeister Ensemble
Returning to Wingfield Barns due to popular demand, this successful, versatile, chamber music ensemble will perform:
Beethoven’s String Trio in E flat, Opus 3
Brahms’ Piano Quartet in G Minor, Opus 25
The Hoffmeister Ensemble is named after the 18th century composer and music publisher, Franz Anton von Hoffmeister and was formed by Jane Faulkner and Frank Cliff when they were both London orchestral players. All the performers are noted chamber music players and greatly enjoy exploring the varied repertoire, particularly of lesser known works. They are highly versatile and perform in combinations from duos to quintets and sextets.
Based in East Anglia, The Hoffmeister Ensemble also performs regularly in London venues.
