The Listening Bus comes to Suffolk Owl Sanctuary!

The National Deaf Children’s Society Listening Bus tours Britain annually.

This year it will be stopping at the Suffolk Owl Sanctuary on its progress through East Anglia.

The bus is a fantastic free facility showcasing new technologies to assist communication between the deaf and hearing communities.

Visitors can try out a flashing doorbell, vibrating alarm clock and amplified telephones in addition to all the attractions that the Suffolk Owl Sanctuary has to offer.

80+ owls and other birds of prey – flying free in three flying displays daily with BSL signing interpreter.

Pretty Woodland Walk with wildlife ponds, bug hotel, ladybird houses and wheelchair accessible bird hide.

Spot the shy red squirrels and meet the cheeky meerkat family – two feeding sessions daily with BSL signing interpreter.

S.O.S. Safari Trail with free gift for every child.

Sensory garden with wheelchair accessible picnic tables, water feature and tactile wooden seating.

New children’s play area with wheelchair friendly equipment and tumble safe surface.

Braille information boards and level tarmac paths throughout – wheelchair for loan (please book in advance).

Owlie gift shop and indoor interactive Discovery Centre.
