Together we are Strong - care for carers events

Dear friends and colleagues

Thank you for using the link to our – Events Registration form“, which is on the front page of our website – www.careforcarers.org.ukand any notices such as this.  All future applications for any “Care for Carers” event/s must be made in this way.

The event at the Norwich Forum on Monday June 13th still has two tables left, one being because an organisation has had to drop out for unfortunate reasons.  The event at the Shrublands in Gorleston has also two tables left.

If you would like to take one of these spaces, please hit this link “Events Registration form” and fill in all details required.  If more people apply than we have spaces for, we will have to give priority to whoever applied first, however, we will as always have a waiting list in case of vacancies occurring.

To date we have 52 organisations taking apart at the Norwich Forum, and 42 organisations at the Shrublands in Gorleston.  That means, if another 4 organisations take a half table at each event, we will hopefully finish up with 56 organisations at the Forum and 46 at the Shrublands.

Below are the flyers made up for each event in June, would you put as many up as possible for as many people to see, and send to others who will be able to do the same please.

The Norwich Forum Monday June 13th  – “Norwich Forum Flyer”

The Shrublands Wednesday June 15th  – “The Shrublands Flyer”

Although our name is Care for Carers, we have so much support from you all, that we are able to say that anyone with almost any problem can call in for support, as if there is no-one there to help, someone knows where to get the services required, “Together we are Strong“.

Networking has become a very popular item at all our events, so if you’re not able to have a table, call in, wet your whistle, and do your thing, you won’t regret it.

Without Prejudice

Last year I suffered a medical problem that needed urgent help from the, “111 out of hours service”, and/or the 999 service, I didn’t get help from either, and Chris had to “Man handle me” to get me to the Norfolk and Norwich A&E, where I received immediate treatment.

Since then, I have written to every MP in the UK, every councillor in the Norwich City and Norfolk County Councils, and as many district councillors as possible, I also sent it to 300 media contacts.

IC24, the company supplying the 111 out of hours services to the Norfolk area, put my complaints and suggestions for improvements on record, and to date have started to improve services, would anyone who has had legitimate problems with the same, please contact me so I can take any problems further and help IC24 to improve the situation.

Although I’m sad with the response I’ve had from any UK MP, including government ministers, IC24 are trying to provide and improve a difficult service to which everyone reading this can need and depend on at any time, with your help, I know they will do their very best to provide the best.

Please contact me with any problems you have, so I can pass details on to IC24, and we’ll get the matter sorted.  As always, your contact details will be kept private if requested.

Big thanks go to all of you who have helped me with my own problems since October 2016.

Although our name is Care for Carers and we call our events “Carers Information Days”, we like to help Carers, the Cared for, Older People, the Lonely and the Vulnerable, in fact, anybody with any problem we can’t help on the day, there will be someone who knows someone, somewhere who can.
