The well-known Norfolk National Gardens Scheme supporter, Peter Boardman of How Hill Farm in Ludham sadly passed way last week.

Peter had opened his renowned and popular broadlands garden for the NGS for 35 years and raised over £35,000 for the vital nursing and caring charities supported by the NGS.

Fiona Black, NGS County Organiser comments “Peter was a fantastic supporter of the NGS and so generous in sharing his extensive knowledge of plants and gardens to the many thousands of visitors to his lovely garden. He will be sadly missed “

Founded in 1927, The National Gardens Scheme (NGS) has donated more than £22 million to charity in the last ten years.

Charities supported by the NGS include Macmillan Cancer Support, Marie Curie Cancer Care, Hospice UK and Carers Trust.
