Governor elections
Governors are volunteers who play a vital role in NHS foundation trusts. They represent the views of local people, appoint non-executive directors and the chair, and hold the non-executives to account for the performance of the Board of Directors.

Elected governors come from all walks of life and share an interest in mental wellbeing and a desire to see Norfolk and Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust develop and thrive. If you have the time, skills and commitment to carry out this important role you may like to attend a meeting to find out more.
Information session details:

  • Thursday 6 November 2014, 3pm to 4.30pm
Board Room, Hellesdon Hospital, Drayton High Road, Norwich, NR6 5BE.
  • Friday 7 November 2014, 2pm to 3.30pm
Rembrandt Room, St Clement’s Hospital, Foxhall Road, Ipswich, IP3 8LS.

Please let us know if you are planning to attend by emailing [email protected] or by calling 01603 421468.

There is a lot of information on the public website under ‘About us’, under ‘Board of Governors. There are photos with profiles of our current governors, details of past and future meetings, and information about elections. The latter page has a booklet called ‘Information for people who are interested in standing for election to the Board of Governors’ which gives a good overview of the role.
