‘The Elves and the Shoemaker’ 

Some helpful Elves put their best foot forward for a fresh and funny look at classic fairytales!

The classic children’s tale of ‘The Elves and the Shoemaker’ is given a comical and endearing new telling, by the young and exciting theatre company ‘Silly Boys’, with support from the arts and community development charity Creative Arts East.

This magical new show is a 
hilarious, wacky and heart-
warming take on this favourite 
fairytale and some unexpected
 others! Meet the silly old
 Shoemaker, discover the fate of
 The Gingerbread Man and laugh in astonishment at The Emperor’s New Clothes!

This beautifully inventive and original delivery of these well-loved tales is told for a whole new generation using puppetry, live music and a huge dose of silliness!!

An ideal treat for ages 4+ and families to share.

‘The Pied Piper’ 

Escape the Rat Race for an enchanted afternoon, where the Pied Piper calls the tune in this children’s classic at Watlington!

World renowned Norwich Puppet Theatre adds its special sprinkle of magic to this beautifully re-imaged adaptation of the classic fairytale ‘The Pied Piper’ at Watlington Village Hall on Tuesday 28th October, supported by Creative Arts East.

Combining a perfectly tuned blend of puppetry, music and storytelling by one irrepressible performer, armed with a host of characters, the whole village of Hamlin comes alive in this charming story of naughty rats, clever children and a very magic flute! This traditional tale of a tune with many ‘tails’ will enchant the whole family in a perfect autumn afternoon treat.

The show is suitable for ages 3 to 7 years and families.
