Norwich Head Out

Norwich Business Improvement District’s (BID) Head Out, Not Home free Thursday early evening entertainment programme returns this summer with 10 weeks of fabulous events and some great volunteer opportunities.

Run in partnership with Norwich & Norfolk Community Arts (NORCA) the programme of events is currently been put together and the Head Out, Not Home organisers are now recruiting volunteers to help with the running of the evening events this summer.

Roles available range from stage manager, site set up volunteers, site event volunteers to site break down volunteers.  Roles are flexible with a minimum commitment of only 3 evenings (5 evenings for stage managers) during the programme.  Full training will be provided.

Stefan Gurney, Executive Director of Norwich BID said, “Volunteering for the Head Out, Not Home programme is a great way to contribute and be part of the vibrant city centre.  It’s an excellent way to meet new people and to learn about event management and street performance”.

Volunteers must be over 18 and applications should be emailed to Cathie Davies by Friday 5 June.  Those successful will be invited for interview.

Running from 25 June to 27 August the events programme which promises to be bigger and better than last year will include Covent Garden street performers, bands and local acts.  The Head Out, Not Home programme aims to encourage people to stay in Norwich, and to enjoy late night shopping and the vast array of bars and restaurants on offer.
