The Wayland Agricultural Show near Brandon will celebrate its 140th anniversary when it returns on Sunday 4th August 2013 with a bumper line up of international acts, local celebrities and traditional agricultural events to raise funds for local charities.

Headlining the Main Ring is the world renowned James Dylan International Motorcycle Stunt Show, performing stunts that have to be seen to be believed. Merion Owen’s Quack Pack is back by popular demand with its adorably impressive duck herding. The Main Ring is also the venue for the huge variety of equestrian and livestock events and Mid Norfolk Gun Dogs, West Norfolk Hunt Hounds and Horkesley Park Suffolk Punches will be representing regional talent.

Showgoers will also be treated to appearances from local star of Flog it! and Bargain Hunt Philip Allwood at the Lifestyle Marquee offering valuations and testing the visitor’s eye for a bargain. There will also be a fashion show featuring upcycled eco-fashion designed by local talent Lizzy Whitman, who has worked with Zandra Rhodes. The culinary talents of award winning local chef Jon Gay will be shown in a mouth watering cooking demonstration.

The Wayland Show includes Livestock competitions and the chance to be crowned Champion of Champions as pigs, sheep, rabbits, horses, cattle and fowl go head to head to win the Norman Sculfer Memorial silver salver.

The Horticulture Tent has an array of traditional flower arranging and vegetable competitions, as well as the longest green bean for green fingered youngsters. The Scarecrow Competition is a chance for kids to express their creativity by creating scarecrows that fit the theme of ‘a nursery rhyme character’.

Plus, look out for the Lifestyle, Home, Horticulture, Fur and Feather and the Taste of Norfolk Marquees filled with trade stalls, rural businesses and local craftsmen.

Gates open at 10am. Entry prices for 2013 are: On the gate: – Adults £10; Children (5–16) £4 (under 5s free); and OAPs £8. Family ticket (2 adults + 2 children) £25. There is a discount for preordering your tickets online at the show website.
