The Allen Gardiner sailed through the lock into the Wet Dock and Ipswich Haven Marina just after 1pm on Thursday 21st November. She is at her berth BB3.
To celebrate her arrival in Ipswich, you are invited to visit us on board at Berth BB3 at 12 noon on Wednesday 27th November. Mulled wine will be served and there will be a Durban speciality to eat. A map of how to find us is attached. Please RSVP us if you intend to come.
Before her maiden customer voyage on the River Orwell, she must be licensed to carry paying passengers. Discussions have already taken place between ourselves and the Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA) who license all vessels carrying more than twelve passengers. This is not a quick process, so while that process is underway, we are licensing her for twelve passengers. This is a much quicker process and is carried out by Ipswich Borough Council.
Until the MCA licence is issued, we will only be able to accommodate more than twelve passengers by staying moored at her berth.
