Anglian Voices Playwriting Competition 2017
Following the success of the first Anglian Voices Playwriting Competition we are running the competition again.

The competition is open to people living in Suffolk and Norfolk and adjacent parts of Cambridge and Essex and sponsored by Alex Worrall, Chairman of Black Hangar Studios (Born to be Blue) and Groove ME and Roger Quince, former Chairman of the Cambridge Music Festival.

The competition is open to all ages. There are two categories: young adult (16-24 ) and adult ( 25 and over) we will be offering workshop development for short listed plays, and performance at the Theatre Royal as well as a cash prize for the winning plays in each category.

Length: 60 minutes maximum No more than 4 actors Minimal Staging

The Writer:

Young adult: 16-24 years inclusive

Adult: 25 years and over

Lives in one of following post codes IP, CB, CO and NR

The closing date for the receipt of draft scripts is

Midnight, Tuesday, 28 February 2017.

 The Prize:

Three shortlisted plays in each age category will receive a half day script development workshop run by a professional theatre practitioner.

The winning writer in each age category will receive £300.00.

Winning plays will be performed at Theatre Royal Bury St Edmunds on Friday 23 June 2017
