Aylsham Country Market extends its hours

If you’re going off to work early on a Friday morning, from 7th June you will have the opportunity to pop into Aylsham’s Country Market before you go.

The Market, held weekly in Aylsham Town Hall, has had a tradition of opening at 8.50am but in response to customer feedback, it will be opening its doors in the future at 8.30.  Market Manager Debra Kidd explains, “Customers have told us that if they need to be in work in the town by 9 o’clock, it’s not always possible to get to the Market for the 8.50 opening time. The Market is a cooperative, so we asked our members if they were prepared to be there 20 minutes earlier and I’m happy to say that they all agreed.”

Aylsham Country Market sells homemade cakes, savouries and cookies alongside craft items, plants, vegetables and eggs.

The wide range of goods is ideal for stocking up for the weekend, or simply picking up a snack on the way to work.

For those who enjoy a more relaxed lifestyle, there is a also a café which sells bacon butties, cakes, sausage rolls and of course tea, coffee and hot chocolate.

The Market and its café are open every Friday morning from 8.30am to noon.
