BBC Radio Norfolk Active Norfolk Sport Awards
Nominations are now open for the 2012 BBC Radio Norfolk Active Norfolk Sports Awards!
For the sixth year running, the cream of sporting achievement and service will again be honoured this autumn with the BBC Radio Norfolk Active Norfolk Sports Awards.
2012 has been an epic year of sport and we want to capture the excitement generated by the Olympic and Paralympic Games and all the activities that have been ongoing locally over the past 12 months. We want you to tell us about your Norfolk sporting heroes, your sporting role models and your sporting inspirations – whether they are world champions or just the pride of your community.
We want as many nominations as possible, from as many sports as possible, from athletics to water-skiing, and from bowls to yachting.
There will be a total of ten categories for nominations:
- Sports Personality of the Year
- Young Sports Personality of the Year
- Inspirational Sports Personality of the Year
- BBC Unsung Hero
- Community Coach of the Year
- Sporting School of the Year
- Community Club of the Year
- Sporting Village of the Year
- Sporting Business of the Year
- Active Norfolk Winner of Winners (judged by the panel from all finalists)
The final award, the Active Norfolk Winner of Winners, will be chosen from the successful candidates in the other categories.
There will be a winner for each category, all of which will be announced at a special, invitation only, awards evening to be held at The Curve Auditorium at the Forum in Norwich on:
Wednesday, 7 November 2012
