The Rotary Club of Beccles is in the 2nd year of a new initiative.
After a very successful contest in Feb 2015 we propose to hold two competitions; a Young Musician of the Year and a Young Vocalist of the Year for 2016.
This will give students the opportunity of performing competitively in order to increase their musical skills and stage presence.
It is open to all those students or their teachers living in the Waveney Area.
The contestant must be under the age of 18 by the 31st December 2015 and studying and mastering the skills needed to perform.
Feedback will be given on performance and stage presence.
The successful competitors in each category will receive a trophy.
Medals will be given to 2nd and 3rd places.
All competitors will receive a certificate of entry.
What?
Two separate competitions.

Where?
The finals will take place in the Beccles Public Hall 28th Feb 2016 at 7pm, and will be judged by an accredited adjudicator.

What is needed?
Two pieces of music to be performed which show different tempi, flexibility and mood. Copies of the music will be needed at the final stage, to be handed in on the night prior to the performance.

Closing date?
The closing date for entry is 30th Nov 2015. Entry forms are available from The Public Hall, your teacher and Colleen Simpson.

Cost?
The fee for entry is £5 and cheque is to made payable to The Rotary Club of Beccles
