Beccles Taekwon-do Club Summer Belt Grading Success

martial arts

Well done to all the martial arts students from Beccles Taekwon-do club who attended their Summer Belt Grading held at Bungay High School on 17th June on a blisteringly hot afternoon in the Dojang.

Regional examiner Mr Steve King 6th Dan from Wellingborough, was again very pleased with the progress of all students, and said that the standards continue to be very high, he congratulated students on their work and commitment to their training, and they were rewarded with an excellent 100% pass rate!

The 3 hour examination includes demonstrations of techniques including kicks, punches and blocks, patterns (sequences of moves), sparring, self-defence, power destruction and Korean terminology for the techniques in their individual belt grade syllabuses.

The Beccles club is very family orientated, with many parents training with their children. The youngest students in the club are 5 years old and there is no upper age limit.

The club is run by its fully certified senior Black belt instructors: Mr and Mrs Bedingfield, who are well supported by their team of Black belt and Black-tag students.

Classes are held on Monday and Thursday evenings at the Venue, Beccles Sports Centre 7pm to 8.30pm, the training dojang is situated above the squash court.
